Verizon has recently released another rugged clamshell phone from Casio namely the G’zOne Brigade C741. This particular handset meets the military’s 810F standards for dust, water and shock resistance. Apart from that, the phone also offers a 2.9-inch 240 x 400 internal display, a 1.2-inch 128 x 96 external display, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, GPS, a media player, HTML browser, Push to Talk, VZ Navigator and supports CDMA EV-DO Rev. Verizon Wireless will launch the Motorola Devour Android-powered handset. Too bad, Verizon hasn’t confirmed a price yet, but we’re assuming that the Devour will be cheaper than the Droid because it has a smaller screen and a slower processor. The Motorola Devour features a touch-sensitive navigation pad, a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, several pre-loaded applications (Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps), a pre-installed 8GB microSD card, and Bluetooth. The spanking new BlackBerry Curve 8530 is now available via Verizon Wireless. It is actually the first full-QWERTY BlackBerry from Verizon to feature RIM’s new optical trackpad and OS 5.0. The smartphone has a 2.5-inch LCD display with a 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 256MB of flash memory. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Stereo Bluetooth, support for microSD cards and dedicated multimedia keys. Known as the Casio G’zOne Rock, the clamshell phone meets mil-spec 810F compliance for high shock, vibration, water, dust, and extreme temperatures. The much awaited BlackBerry Storm2 is finally making its way to Verizon Wireless on October 28th.
