Verizon HTC Thunderbolt Gets Official

Verizon Wireless and HTC have officially announced their upcoming 4G Android smartphone ‘HTC Thunderbolt’ at this year’s CES. This new LTE-capable handset will sport a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8.0-megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video recording, a front-facing camera for video calls, HTC’s new Sense UI, wireless DLNA support and run on Android 2.2 OS. Wirefly has started selling the Verizon Samsung Continuum for only $79.99 with a new 2-year contract. For your info, Verizon sells this phone for $199.99 after a mail-in rebate. The Samsung Continuum has a primary 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display and a secondary 1.8-inch Super AMOLED display. The phone also supports Wi-Fi, 3G mobile hotspot capabilities, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm headset jack, a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera with HD video recording. Verizon Wireless has decided to re-released the Microsoft Kin ONE and Kin TWO handsets. The Kin ONE retails for $119.99 or $19.99 with a 2-year contract while the larger, more powerful Kin Two is priced at $219.99 or $49.99 with a 2-year contract. The Kin Two is also subject to Verizon’s “buy one, get up to 3 select phones free” promotion, again with a 2-year activation per phone. [Mashable]

Verizon Cancels Android-powered LG enV Pro

The LG enV Pro was rumored to be launching on Verizon this November 11th, 2010. Unfortunately, the network carrier has decided to cancel the production of this dual-screen phone after it failed to impress their testers.
