
Softbank Japan has announced the availability of the Panasonic 102P. Measuring 123mm x 62mm x 7.8mm and weighing 103 grams, the waterproof smartphone provides a large 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 pixels resolution, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a GPS navigation and a mobile wallet. Powered by the Google Android Gingerbread operating system, the Panasonic 102P is able to connect wirelessly with compatible Blu-ray players for playback of Blu-ray content. [Newlaunches]

Fujitsu today rolled out the new DoCoMo SMART series F-03C waterproof cell phone. Available in brown, black, purple and white, the Fujitsu F-03C comes equipped with a 2-inch large-screen color LCD, a high-performance 12.2-megapixel camera that can record full high-definition movies and a touchpad that enables users to access e-mail messages, check their schedules or browse i-mode content, even when this clamshell phone is closed. The phone is able to record Full HD (1920 x 1080) videos thanks to its 13.2MP CMOS sensor camera. NTT DoCoMo has expanded its cell phone series by releasing the Fujitsu F-10B. Measuring 114mm x 51mm x 17.3mm and weighing 141grams, this clamshell handset provides a 3.4 inch touchscreen display with a VGA resolution allowing you to write something on pictures and send text messages faster. The phone also supports a 12-megapixel camera with face recognition, Autofocus and a 6.2X super zoom. Other features include GPS, Dolby Mobile for 5.1 channel surround output, HSDPA and GSM for international roaming. DoCoMo has announced that they will release the SH-08A Solar Hybrid phone in September 2009. This solar-powered phone is also rugged enough to be waterproof. Its body is resistant to water sprays from all directions and submergible to depths up to one meter. The DoCoMo SH-08A can be recharged with sunlight as well as electricity. Even if the battery has completely lost its charge, just 10 minutes of solar recharging via a solar panel on the phone’s body provides approximately one minute of talk time. The phone comes with an 8-megapixel CCD camera that takes excellent photographs in low light environment. The new Fujitsu Prime F-01A is a waterproof phone which can make calls underwater at a depth of about three feet for up to 30 minutes. The GSM/W-CDMA phone features a 3.5-inch touchscreen and has a 5.2MP camera. [Wired]
