
The latest Willcom 03 smartphone has been unveiled at the 2008 CEATEC in Japan. I think it is a cool slider phone and I think you should buy it. The smartphone features a 3 inch display at 480 x 800 resolution, 1-Seg support, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 support, 2MP shooter, microSD memory card slot and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Its battery offers around 420 hours of standby and 360 hours of talk time. [Mobilewhack]

Willcom today announced the Willcom 03, which is the first Windows Mobile 6.1 classic smartphone in Japan. The gadget is equipped with a 3 inch touchscreen LCD WVGA (800×480), two different types of keyboards(a keypad or a multidirectional pad), 256MB of memory, a microSD and W-SIM slot, a camera 2MP shooter with AutoFocus and a QWERTY keyboard. Willcom just released the X Plate cell phone that has W-OAM technology (Willcom-Optimized Adaptive Modulation) that allows a Japan-only handset to be used in China, Thailand or Taiwan with the proper PIM card. The X Plate features Internet browsing, Java and Flash support, and a 1.8 display. No word on pricing or availability for this model yet.
