
After the Chocolate series U.S Cellular offers its new product LG Wine, which is a pretty looking clamshell with a small external 1.3-inch display. The Wine is designed as an easy-to-use handset, for the user who needs a basic phone. The phone comes with a 2.2-inch QVGA display and 1.3 megapixel camera. Though it doesn’t support EV-DO but, it has GPS. It will be available in red or silver and sells for $30 with a contract and after a mail-in rebate. [phonearea]

LG launched the new Wine Phone FOMA L705i in Japan. The phone enhances voice calling and SMS sending and receiving for the 30-40 age range. It features a 2.2-inch wide LCD and double size buttons and speaker, enlarges even invisible words with a built-in camera and offer words format twice as big. It supports four key buttons to practice certain functions such as alarm, schedule, voice recording and condition setting. Japan will drop this phone via NTT DoCoMo. [AVING]
