US Cellular To Release Android-powered Samsung Gem

US Cellular is ready to launch the Samsung Gem Android-powered smartphone on April 1st, 2011. The network carrier sells this handset for $29.99 after a $80 mail-in rebate. What’s more, you can also get the Samsung Gem on US Cellular’s Belief Project, which doesn’t require you to sign any additional contract after you have fulfilled an initial two-year agreement. As a reminder, the Samsung Gem features the Google Android 2.1 OS, a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, an 800 MHz processor, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot.
