Verizon Wireless Releases Kyocera DuraXV Rugged Flip Phone

Verizon Wireless has recently released a new rugged flip phone ‘DuraXV’ from Kyocera on their network. The handset is available now for $199.99 off contract or $99.99 with a 2-year contract. Coming with a reinforced housing (Military Standard 810G), this waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof and dustproof handset is equipped with a 1.08″ 102 x 90 semi-transmissive mono color external display, a 2.4″ 320 x 240 TFT internal display, a 256MB RAM, a 512MB of internal storage and a microSD card slot (4GB card included). Powered by a 1500mAh Lithium Ion battery, the DuraXV has a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Kyocera’s Smart Sonic Receiver, dual-mic noise cancellation and dual front-facing speakers, and runs on Brew MP 1.0.4 OS.
