Xiaomi Redmi 2 Officially Introduced

Xiaomi has officially introduced their latest 4G LTE-enabled Android 4.4 smartphone in China, the Redmi 2. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with MIUI v6 on top, this mid-range smartphone sports a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-bit processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, a 1GB RAM and an 8GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB). Not only that, the handset also packs dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE support on each slot, a 2MP front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and 1080p Full HD video recording, and a 2200mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it provides 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 will go on sale in China from January 9th for 699 Yuan (about $112). [Product Page]
